no jargon, no fine print. here's how each part works and why it's built that way. a few things are still on the way - those are marked.
how you find someone, and how a conversation begins.
one switch you control. live: people nearby who match you can find you. off: you don't exist on the radar. it also pauses itself when you probably wouldn't want to be seen, and goes quiet on its own after a long stretch of nothing.
you see about how far someone is - close, or a few minutes away. you never see where they are, they never see where you are, and your coordinates never leave our server for another person's device.
you only show up for people whose preferences match yours, and who match theirs. if the interest isn't both ways, neither of you sees the other.
you reach out by sending an intent - a small signal of what you're after. a casual hello. a real conversation. a walk, now. or peer support, when you just want someone who understands. the other person sees which one, and your note, before they answer.
a channel only exists once both people have said yes. we call it a door because it opens on agreement - there's no messaging someone who hasn't agreed to talk.
ending a connection is treated as carefully as starting one.
either person can close a channel instantly, any time, with no say-so from the other side. that's on purpose - needing someone's cooperation to leave would trap people who need out. you can leave a short note if you like; you never have to. when the door shuts, the messages go with it.
messages are for reading, not keeping. they disappear once seen. photos and media go the same way. nothing piles up into a history.
a quiet score only you can see. it reflects how you treat people - above all, how you end things. a kind note instead of disappearing, channels that close on good terms: those lift it. being hidden or reported brings it down. it isn't a popularity count and no one else ever sees it - it's there so the app rewards decency, not numbers.
controls that don't need anyone else's cooperation to work.
hide someone and they're gone from everything - radar, search, all of it. no notification, no confrontation. the app never says “blocked”; you simply stop existing to each other, both ways.
flag harassment, fake profiles, anyone underage, spam, or content that crosses a line. a real team reviews reports and can warn, suspend, or remove accounts - and tells the person when they've been actioned, rather than leaving them guessing.
your beacon can pause itself when the moment's wrong: late-night quiet hours, a nearly-dead battery, or just after you post a storm in your inner weather. that last one won't bring you back live by itself - you decide when you're ready.
to anyone you haven't connected with, you're just a nickname you pick. your real name appears only after you've both agreed to talk. your email is never shown to anyone. we're closing the last few places where this isn't fully enforced yet.
under 18 can't use Intimind. 18 to 20 get the social side - thoughts and the feed - but not radar meeting. full access starts at 21.
what the app keeps, what it never keeps, and what you can take with you.
see how many of your messages have vanished, download everything the app holds about you, and delete your account with a grace period to change your mind.
your position is deliberately imprecise and is never sold or shared. proximity is worked out on our servers, so the raw number never reaches anyone else.
coming soon: an alert if someone captures a disappearing message.
the radar is for meeting people. thoughts is for saying the things that don't get said.
put down whatever's actually going on - desire, doubt, grief, a strange 3am thought, the thing you rehearse but never say out loud. tag it with your inner weather. if it's human, it belongs here. it stays on the feed - someone reading it later might feel less alone. if someone's words land with you, send an intent straight from them.
post as yourself, or behind a one-time handle - a soft word pair like paper.thunder, never traceable back to you. so the hardest things don't have to carry your name. shame thrives in silence; this is how you break it without exposure.
before the doors open
be first through the door
we're building Intimind in the open. save your spot and you'll know the day it goes live - one message, nothing before it.
no spam. one message, the day it's live.
